Lot Clearing Lien - 1116 S 7th St.
Waive interest, penalties, and administrative fees in the amount of $491.06 for lot clearing lien against 1116 S. 7th St., Ft. Pierce, FL previously owned by Noel Nava, 1116 S. 7th St., and currently owned by Carlson Family LLC, 2013 Sunrise Blvd., Ft. Pierce, FL contingent upon payment of $203.76.
BACKGROUND: The Carlson Family LLC purchased this property through a tax deed sale. E
xcess funds from the tax sale was received by the City on May 22, 2015 in the amount of $6,875.24.
There are two code enforcement liens and a lot clearing lien on the property which are also being presented to the Commission tonight for reduction. The new owners complied the violations immediately after obtaining title to the property. Their plans are to improve the property and bring it back to its proper potential.
Staff recommends waiving interest, penalties, and administrative fees of $491.06 leaving a balance due of $203.76.
Recommendation is based on:
An excess funds from tax sale receipt was received on May 22, 2015 in the amount of $6,875.24. The reduced lot clearing lien will be paid from these funds and the remaining balance will be used to satisfy the two code enforcement liens
The Carlson Family LLC has been in the business in Ft. Pierce since 1982 and has cleaned up and improved many properties putting them back to their proper potential.
